As you become more in touch with what’s REALLY going on in your life, you are able to make better decisions about friends, business ventures, family members, and your own healing process. Your sub-conscious is what rules your life. It’s where all your information is stored and is your “automatic” reaction centre. When you find yourself reacting strongly to something but you don’t know why…it’s your subconscious belief system that triggers your response. Being able to be in touch with your core control centre gives you the knowledge and the power to heal and change he things about yourself and your life for good.
One way to do this is to keep track of your dreams. In general, your dream precess is to sort and store all the information you have received during the day. Your mind does this by symbolism. Most of the time you are just sleeping soundly and the process goes on without you being aware of it. When you dream vividly and you wake up remembering your dreams, or it seems to stick with you during the day, you will be surprised at what your higher self is telling you in your dreams.
Your dreams can tell you if you are on the right track, or if you are in danger. They tell you if you are hindering yourself, or if you need to change something in yourself, or your environment. They can also tell you if you are letting someone have too much control in your life, or if you need to make a decision.
Writing down your dreams, looking up what the symbolism means and then piecing it together to interpret their meaning is an amazing and enlightening process. You’ll find out that more than likely your dreams aren’t scary at all and they mean something totally different than what you thought they did. This gives you a sense of peace. When you know what’s really going on in your inner self and you have the knowledge, and, in turn the power to feel good about your conscious life, or the choice to change it.
Some important symbolism to know when you are analysing your dreams is that more often than not, every person, place, and thing that is in your dreams represents an aspect of yourself. People you know represent qualities about yourself that you are aware of in your conscious state. People who you don’t know represent qualities you are not aware of consciously. Buildings and homes represent yourself and the levels of consciousness within. Driving a car represents control of your life. You can guess what it means if someone else is driving your car, or you are in the passenger seat. Death in a dream is often disturbing, but this symbolizes change. Change that includes shifts in family roles, kids going off to college, getting married, or having a baby will trigger death dreams. Your relationship will be different with this person, but they are not really going to die. If a person in your dream dies, this can also represent the qualities that this person have. You are changing these in yourself and your dream is telling you about this change happening on a higher level.
There is so much that your mind can tell you. I’ve had dreams that warned me about people in my environment who had bad intentions. During the day, when you are consciously aware of your life, your subconscious is still at work. You not only are energetically aware on a higher level, things that you might not have consciously picked up, your sub-conscious does. Listening to your dreams gives you access to this information before it is stored away. If you have a recurring dream, this could be a warning of a needed change or a danger that you aren’t aware of in your waking life.
Dreams are a tool that we can use to gain inner awareness of ourself and our environment. When I was doing intense work on inner child issues and co-dependency, I would record and analyse my dreams to monitor my progress. I was also learning new skills of self awareness and how to make healthy decisions for myself. My dreams gave me deep information about how I was doing and if I needed to heal an area or if I was moving on.
Dreams will give you insight on body issues, past trauma that needs to be healed, how you are adjusting to change, your emotional state, relationship issues, or deep desires or fears.
Next time you have a dream that you remember, write it down and look it up. I have a huge book on dreams, but thanks to the web, you can look it up on your computer. You will be intrigued and amazed at how this experience will enlighten and educate you about yourself and your life.
