This has been an incredibly hard year for most. In Numerology, 2016 is a 9 or universal year. (2016 broken down is 2+0+1+6=9) Nine represents the end of a cycle, a completion. The Number 9 is about endings, and this year has been full of those. The good thing about endings is that it opens the door to new beginnings. This year you also had to pay up for the choices you have made. The choices you made a few years ago, have come full circle this year. For instance you will be forced to examine relationships, businesses, jobs, etc. and be forced to change what is not working for you, and examine the foundation of your choices.
Even though this past year has been a horrible roller coaster of loss and hard lessons for most, when it comes to personal growth and evolving yourself spiritually, it has been a blessing in disguise. Always remember that without being revealed what we need to get rid of in our lives, we would be stuck in the same place, doing the same thing, and not getting anywhere in life. We often need that negative event to open our eyes to the things we need to change, or new knowledge we need to learn. If you are aware of and accepting of this flow of change, of loss and gain, of positive and negative, you will be able to handle the stress of this year a little better.
If you haven’t learned the lessons from 2016, they will follow you into 2017. So my advice would be to stop, breath, and just stop being resistant. The more you put off and fight the things you need to change and let go, the more difficult your lesson will be.
Changing your perception is often the most effective way to get out of the negative and discouraging thinking we all have when things just keep going wrong. By stepping back, and trying to look at things from an observers standpoint, it gives us a different perspective to our situation. Blaming circumstances on others, illness, or my favorite this year, thinking you are cursed, or someone has cursed you, just limits your personal power. Being hung up on resentments and mistakes others made towards us also holds us back and keeps you stuck. Unable to let go, you freeze yourself in the past, unable to move forward. No one is perfect, and holding on to hate always does more harm and stress to yourself, not the person you are mad at. Always remember that your present circumstances always lead back to a choice you made in the past. It’s hard to admit that maybe you made a bad choice, but accepting your part, then taking steps to learn from that choice, then make a different choice in this moment is your chance to create a better future.
2017 is a year for propelling yourself forward. Make new plans and goals, and carry the knowledge and strength you gained from 2016 with you. If you have done this, you will truly have a very successful year, and many to come. Go with the ups and downs with life, count your blessings, and be grateful for challenges that make you stronger every day.
